Minding your manners is important at all times, it enables one to get along with others without conflicts. Broadway shows New York City are among the most attended events in the town, many people buy tickets to attend this event. To attend such events, there are a couple of things one must observe to avoid any conflicts with the other member in attendance. This is because the halls need utmost silence and any noise could be considered as a misconduct.

Most people need to carry their phones everywhere, they always have the urge to use their phones all the time. However, it is advisable that you switch off your phone if you are to attend the Broadway show. This is because the room is usually very silent and any ringing phones could cause the whole audience to stray from the performance. Drawing unnecessary attention for misconduct is not an ideal way to spend your night while you are supposed to enjoy yourself.

It is most theaters in Broadway, the rooms are darkened and only the stage is lit. Its advisable not to text during this show because the lighting from your cell phone can be distracting to the attendants of the show. Interfering with the set mood kills the fun of the performance because the audience will keep turning to see who is causing the distraction.

Before the show, an individual should take reservations at their favorite restaurants around the theater. The intention of this reservation is to make sure you eat before the show so that you do not carry food into the arena. This is because the chewing and crunching of food during a show is distractive to your neighbors. If the desire to eat becomes too much, its better to wait for the intermission.

Talking during performances should be as minimal as possible. You are supposed to be very quiet because apart from the performers talking, the rooms are so quiet you can hear a pin drop. Commenting loudly could be irritating since the echo might run through the whole room hence interfering with the performance. This is disrespectful to the dedicated actors and actresses.

In case it is a musical, it is advisable not to sing along to the music. Its important to respect your fellow audience members who have paid a lot of money to come to see the show. Singing along to the musical will distract other audience members.

On the opening night of the Broadway show, people are often confused on what to wear. The arena managers usually crank up the air conditioners. It can get a bit cold when the conditioners are adjusted so one ought to carry with him or her a jacket. Most of the shows have no dress code restrictions.

Most performances are sold out, therefore, the seats are full and the leg space is limited. It is important to respect the space of your neighbor. Do not be all over his or her space. Use the area assigned to you maximally until the end of the show.
