This is why it is important for television viewers to know the difference so that they will not take the show meant for humor too seriously.

Since there is so much of this type of programming in the world today, it is important for the audience to understand the difference between what is real and what is simply humorous. Real reporters have to do a great amount of ground work before the information airs on television or is presented in a movie format. They have to make the right connections to the story.

They have to make sure that they are talking to the right people and reading the right documents that are available to them. They also have to make sure that their method of going about collecting this information is legal. If they are not doing their job in the right way, they can be sued or loose their job for breaking the law or not following the rules of their employer.

Since a comedy show follows that same style of the real program, it can be easy to think that it is real especially for those who are used to taking these shows seriously. It may appear to be close to the real thing, but it is really just a different way at looking at the world. This is why there is always an audience who appreciates these forms of entertainment.
