The most practical items for protecting shoes when rains come are readily available. These could be called galoshes, the stuff you could have been used to using before. But these are a bit dated, probably not the things that are used by many kinds of consumers today, for use in protecting their shoes from wet and the rain.

There will be now more products that are more effective or efficient for use. These might a washable shoe cover and something made or manufactured using advanced or better materials or designs that are available today.
