The coating makes the product waterproof and UV protected. Canvases are not by default with varnish and UV protection but a lacquer or substance can be added to achieve this, post print.

Maintenance is also easy since acrylic is quite like glass in surface texture. Even the materials to clean them is the same. The process is as simple as applying the liquid and then wiping it down. Doing this can help make the photograph last longer.
